It’s almost shocking, ALMOST shocking, to see people so willing to co-sign to something, anything that results in a dead person. I don’t even know how that works, what kind of bizarre loyalty that would require.
I’d be hard pressed to watch somebody fudge a timesheet at my job, much less something where a dead body is involved and I wasn’t even there to see how the death occurred. No way.
Really?
Go watch the video again. Pause at about 1:23. Notice where the other (silver) parked car is.
Play then pause at 1:58. Notice where the other car is now while the office is getting up.
The driver held the door shut as he was reaching for the ignition. Dead people can’t start a car and put it into drive.
I wonder what would have happened if the driver wasn’t argumentative, took off his seatbelt, and got out of the car...
I wonder what would have happened if the driver wasn’t argumentative, took off his seatbelt, and got out of the car...
I don’t know, let’s ask Sandra Bland. She got out.
I wonder what would have happened if the former police officer wasn’t trigger happy in this situation. Or, in Akai Gurley’s situation. Or, in John Crawford’s situation. Or, in Tamir Rice’s situation. Those three guys didn’t even get an opportunity to argue or hear a “lawful order,” but yet, they are all dead.
I wonder if you’ve ever been “argumentative”. No, of course you haven’t, you’re still alive, so obviously you are one of the most temperate people to walk the earth. Aren’t you blessed?
I don’t argue with law enforcement.
99% of police interactions don’t end in violence. Just like 99% of planes don’t crash.
Go ahead and keep citing the stuff you see only in the news or blogs like this. Which only trump up the racial narrative. Just like every plane crash has to have a terrorist narrative.
I don’t argue with law enforcement.
But, see that’s where you reveal your naivete and foolishness. Surely, you must realize that if enough people are able to rationalize murder by cops due to being “argumentative,” that sooner than later, they will be able to rationalize their violent responses to someone being “argumentative” to them.
Surely, you must realize that as people become less tolerant of inconveniences that could cause them to become “argumentative,” other people will become less tolerant of how much they are going to take from an “argumentative” person.
Surely, you must remember that cops are supposedly people too, so either they are “better” people than the average because they are doing this job or they are “less” than the average person because they are doing this job so poorly. Either way, you will find people that can justify the behavior of a killer cop, will also use it as an example for their own behavior and you just might get into an argument with one of those people.
And, hey, if it makes you feel better to think that this is solely about a racial narrative, then cool. But, if you want to really take an honest look at what this is really about, go to CNN and watch the out of control white off-duty cop threaten to put a hole in the head of a white driver that simply made the mistake of a moving violation.
A moving violation.
Clearly, the bane of a cop’s day and scourge that needs to be eliminated from the streets of America. It’s a good thing that white guy didn’t get out of the car.
I saw the video and this guy needs to go into a deep hole forever or be fired out of a cannon, into the sun. It makes me wonder what other fucked up things he did over his entire career.
i just took a deep fucking breath and said fuck after reading that literal insanity —
Ok, this is a shooting and each officer didn’t write their own reports? Nonsense.
